Cold Therapy Ottawa

Applying cold therapy after surgery is the first step you can take in the  post-surgical recovery or injury healing process. Motorized cold therapy works by slowing the release of chemicals which the body creates after surgery. These chemicals are also created when your body undergoes an injury. Cold therapy helps to reduce swelling and inflammation. Hence, by reducing swelling and inflammation cold therapy allows you to return to function faster. Ease of use is another reason why cold therapy is used as the first step in the recovery process.
